Greenwoods Menswear’s newest branch reports strong sales across opening weekend in Leeds shopping centre
A new branch of a popular menswear store is off to a flying start in a Leeds shopping centre after staff reported strong sales across its opening weekend.

The retail trade in Crossgates Shopping Centre has been given a boost by the opening of the specialist menswear shop Greenwoods Menswear, which offers everything from office wear to special occasion ensembles.

Matthew Middleton, centre manager at Crossgates, said the opening of another fashion store will be a fantastic addition to the retail mix – which already includes the likes of Officers Club, Peacocks and New Look.

“Everyone is excited to welcome Greenwoods to Crossgates,” he said. “Having the former Specsavers unit open and trading again will provide a boost for the centre in terms of both retail offer and footfall.

“Given the great feedback we have received about the store’s opening weekend, we are sure the brand’s newest store will be a huge success with our shoppers and we would like to wish the team the best of luck.”

The new store at Crossgates has created 5 jobs and the chain has plans to open a further 20 Greenwoods stores over the next 12 months.

A spokesperson from Greenwoods Menswear said: “We are delighted to have opened our newest branch in Crossgates and becoming a key brand in the centre.

“The store opening generated some positive sales and the feedback from customers has been excellent.

“The store has already received lots of interest thanks to Greenwoods long established reputation for quality and value and we are confident it will be a huge success.”
